The blockade diary of Tanya Savicheva

The story of Tanya Savicheva is one of the most poignant symbols of the siege of Leningrad. Although there were thousands of such tragedies in 1941-42, it was Tanya who was remembered thanks to her diary. Last entry: "Everyone died. Tanya was the only one left" — she became the voice of all the dead children. For the first time, the film tells in detail not only about Tanya herself, but also about her family. Little-known facts are revealed: the fate of Mikhail's brother, who survived the occupation and became a partisan, and his sister, whom Tanya considered dead. The authors of the film found rare letters, interviews and restored episodes of Tanya's evacuation to Shatki. This is not just a story about a girl, but a chronicle of childhood pain and resilience in a besieged city where 160,000 out of 400,000 children did not survive.
