Duels: The U.S. Government vs. Rudolf Abel
Information about movie
Story
The film tells the story of Soviet intelligence officer Fischer, who, when arrested, impersonated Rudolf Abel in order to protect others. FBI Director Hoover considered him an enemy, but respected him for his steadfastness and silence. The portrait, painted by Abel himself, hung in Kennedy's office as a sign of recognition of the strength of the spirit. This is a story about devotion, courage and honor, which neither interrogations nor prison could break.
