Three veterans return from the war and face difficulties: Al is rebuilding relationships with his family, Fred is struggling with problems and falls in love with Al's daughter, and Homer is trying to maintain love despite his injuries. Fred, in turn, is a beautiful wife who started an independent life after leaving Fred's parents and settling in a hotel and apparently not really missing her husband, besides, they are in no hurry to hire Fred and he has serious financial problems, after drinking together at the bar Fred gets home to Al and there he falls in love with Al's daughter, Peggy.
