The Lion in Winter

The year is 1183. On Christmas Day, the aging King Henry II gathers his family to choose an heir. Among the guests are his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine, who spent ten years in prison for treason, Ale's mistress, her brother, French King Philip II Augustus, and three ambitious sons: Richard, Geoffrey and John. All of them have only one thing in common — a thirst for power and a willingness to betray each other for the throne.
