The landlord runs a butcher shop and feeds the tenants, who are both customers and raw materials. The butcher's daughter falls in love with a new applicant, and because of this, minced meat is not cooked. The butcher is confused, postponing the "butchering" while the neighbors complain about the lack of meat.
