About a boy

Will Freeman's age is already approaching forty years, and he has quite successfully managed to avoid obligations to anyone in his life. This wealthy Englishman has never been married, he has no children, he has never even had a permanent job. Will's father was the author of a popular Christmas song, and thus saved his son from money problems. Will lives off the interest earned from using his father's song. In order to finally grow up and find a woman, Will begins going to specially organized meetings of single parents, posing as a father who supposedly has a son. At one of the meetings, Will meets twelve-year-old Marcus, the son of one of the single mothers. The boy and Will become attached to each other and become best friends. Marcus finds in Will an understanding adult who helps him cope with problems, and Will gradually begins to take care of the boy, feel his responsibility to him and grow up...
